Father Involvement at Clark!
If you are a father, grandfather, uncle—or other type of father figure —your involvement in your middle-schooler's life is incredibly important, and we are thrilled that you are interested in investing in your student at Clark.
The presence of men at school makes a powerful impression on kids. Watch D.O.G.S. (Dad's of Great Students) and the All Pro Dads Day Programs leverage that power to great advantage!
Watch DOGS (Dads of Great Students) set aside one day each year to attend school with your kids. Not only will your presence absolutely delight your children, it increases security, reduces bullying, and sends a strong message that education is important to every kid at Clark!
Not bad for a day's work, eh?
All Pro Dads
This program is just beginning at Clark. The idea is to provide a situation where students and dads can eat breakfast together, and connect— through talking, games and activity. Breakfasts happen once a month (or every other month to start). These small investments add up over time!
To volunteer as a "Dad":
Email Jared: firstname.lastname@example.org with your name, phone number, and how you would like to be involved. If you would like to be a Watch DOG, note that some days volunteers are not allowed at Clark, due to testing and such.
You will also need to request a background check (Request a Background Check*) and join this year's PTA as a member. Both are good for one school year.
*Must be done 1 time per school year through FISD
